descriptionLegacy Wire’s aluminum SEU (Service Entrance Cable, Style U) delivers reliable single-phase power for above-ground residential and light commercial service entrance applications rated up to 600V. Built with compact-stranded AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors insulated with XLPE and enclosed in a sunlight-resistant gray PVC jacket, it provides a cost-effective, code-compliant solution for conveying power from the service drop to the meter base and from the meter base to the distribution panelboard.

applicationsSEU is primarily used to convey power from the service drop to the meter base and from the meter base to the distribution panelboard, and may be used in all applications where Type SE cable is permitted. The two-conductor configuration is the standard choice for single-phase, two-wire residential service entrance connections and panel feeder runs in apartments, multi-unit dwellings, and light commercial buildings. Rated 600V for use in wet or dry locations not exceeding 90°C. Note: SE cables are not permitted for underground installation, with or without a raceway, per NEC 338.12(A)(2).
