XHHW-2 CABLE
-
DESCRIPTIONLegacy Wire’s aluminum XHHW-2 is a single-conductor, thermoset-insulated building wire engineered for demanding commercial and industrial power distribution. Built with compact-stranded AA-8000 series aluminum alloy and insulated with abrasion, heat, and moisture resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), it is rated for 600-1000V at 90°C in wet and dry locations — delivering a versatile, pull-friendly conductor for conduit, raceway, and cable tray installations across services, feeders, and branch circuits. Cable can be installed with or without cable pulling lubricant.
-
APPLICATIONSXHHW-2 conductors are primarily used in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial and industrial applications as specified in the National Electrical Code. As a single-conductor wire, it gives contractors full flexibility to select gauge and color per circuit requirements and pull conductors independently through any conduit or raceway system. Rated for use in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C at 600-1000V.
